The train station, with frequent services to Leicester and Nottingham, and connections to London and other cities, is just five minutes' walk from the School.

In the heart of Oakham, the Market Place is dominated by the historic Butter Cross and overlooked by a magnificent church. In this charming setting, Oakham School’s extensive campus provides superb facilities with easy access to all local amenities, including a twice-weekly market, delightful craft shops and boutiques. In addition to the School’s excellent sports facilities, nearby Rutland Water, a delightful reservoir, offers plenty of opportunities for sailing, walking, bird-watching, cycling or lazy picnics on its tree-lined banks.
