Welcome to Nantwich - a fashionable market town

Nantwich
Nantwich is a small market town (population 20,000) set in the rich farmlands of South Cheshire on the banks of the River Weaver. It is very conveniently located – only 30 kilometres from Manchester Airport and 35 kilometres from the historic city of Chester.

The name ‘Nantwich’ means ‘renowned works’ and during the early Middle Ages the town was at the centre of England's salt industry. It is now one of Cheshire's most picturesque market towns with its distinctive black and white timber-framed buildings. For many years, Nantwich has attracted visitors to its fashionable shops, pubs, restaurants and historical buildings. The 14th-century parish church is one of the three great ‘salt churches’ and probably the most beautiful parish church in Cheshire, while Churches Mansion is just one of the many fine examples of Tudor architecture to be found in the town.

Reaseheath College
Reaseheath College is about 20 minutes' walk along the River Weaver from the town centre of Nantwich. The College is set amidst 500 acres of farms, parkland, lake, woodland and sports facilities. This tranquil setting provides the backdrop to both historical buildings and modern accommodation and classrooms of the highest specification. Reaseheath Hall dates back to the 18th century and features a minstrel's gallery, wood-panelled walls, stained glass windows and a grand staircase. The College is one of the UK’s most successful specialist colleges and the pride in this accolade can be seen everywhere.
