Cambridge Music / Music Technology Summer School

This course is designed for those wishing to significantly develop their skills and knowledge of Music and Music Technology.

• Ideal for students wishing to pursue further study in music / music technology.
• Students with a musical background will find the course more accessible and rewarding.
• Course includes music excursions e.g. performances locally and in London.

Music

Music classes will include learning about various core techniques including:

• counterpoint and harmony
• use of scales and melody
• a variety of musical styles
• an introdution to practical performance techniques.

Students will have the opportunity to practise a musical instrument over the duration of the course.

International students should have a good level of English (Intermediate or above).

Music Technology

The Music Technology element will introduce students to the latest recording techniques:

• technology and equipment 
• industry standard software
• musical arrangement
• composition 
• editing musical compositions.

Students will be encouraged to produce a final piece or song which will be transferred to CD for students to take home.

International students should have a good level of English (Intermediate or above).
