Assessment and exams

We provide opportunities for students to measure their progress in speaking and writing English – they always delight in the advances they make.

Students are not obliged to sit exams when they come to our study holidays. However, it is important that they can see how their English has improved and which areas they need to work on. We provide the following feedback and testing throughout our holidays:

• Initial written and oral placement tests determine students’ levels. 
• All classes are tested weekly. 
• Stafford House Study Holidays is an accredited centre for Trinity College, London, Examinations in Spoken English (these must be booked at least six weeks in advance of the start of the course).
• All students receive a personalised End-of-Course Certificate recording the course attended, and the level attained.
