Lampeter Study Centre

Welcome to Lampeter, West Wales

A small, thriving market town, Lampeter is located in the lovely Tefi Valley in the county of Ceredigion in rural West Wales. The town has long been a market town and continues to be the centre of commerce for the area. All major banks are represented together with supermarkets, clothing shops, chemists, newsagents and numerous other stores. Lampeter is a centre of the organic food trade and boasts award-winning cafes.

University of Wales at Lampeter
St David’s College was founded by Bishop Thomas Burgess in 1822 so that Welsh students, prohibited by the expense of Oxford and Cambridge, could obtain a university education. The College is modelled on the Oxbridge colleges in a neo-Gothic style. The campus is located in the middle of the town and all shops and amenities are within an easy five-minute walk.

Accommodation
There is a choice of single en-suite rooms or standard rooms (standard rooms share a shower with a ratio of one shower to four people). All the accommodation is in flats with kitchenettes. The blocks are newly built and in excellent decorative order with pleasant views over the surrounding countryside. The accommodation is all located near to the dining room and the social and teaching facilities.
