Boston is an exciting city of contrasts. Visitors come to experience its rich traditions, rooted in the American Revolution, as well as enjoying the cultural highlights offered by the many museums, theatres and concert halls. The city centre is very attractive with its fine parks and gardens, as well as an interesting harbourside area.

Home to more than 50 colleges and universities, Boston is a multicultural city that boasts the largest concentration of international students in the world. The city itself is a blend of many ethnic neighbourhoods: the North End’s Italian festivals, Chinatown’s restaurants, and areas that offer Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Caribbean, Brazilian, Middle Eastern, Jewish and soul food. Boston is one of America’s most stimulating and cosmopolitan cities.

Tufts University
The program will be held at Tufts University. Located in the leafy suburb of Medford, the Tufts University campus occupies a beautiful green campus with views towards downtown Boston. It is easily reached by subway: Davis Square is a short bus ride away or a 25 minute walk.

Boston is also a jumping off point to the extraordinary natural and cultural resources of New England. New York is only 4 hours away by road.

Accommodation

• The accommodation is in twin rooms and there are ample shared shower and washbasin facilities. 
• In the accommodation block there is a launderette with coin operated washing and drying machines. 
• The dining room is very large and spacious. There is a huge choice of food and students may eat as much as they like. 
• There is also a coffee bar, and a health centre available to students and leaders.
