Cambridge Drama Summer School
This course aims to introduce a range of different drama techniques in a fun, safe and active environment. The drama course also improves students' confidence, self esteem and communication skills.
- Ideal for students keen to study drama or theatre studies.
- Good for those who already have experience of acting at school or clubs.
Students can choose from different types of drama practice including: musical theatre, physical theatre and acting for the theatre. Core skills that will be explored include:
- acting
- voice and movement
- improvisation
- games
- warm-up techniques
- physical theatre
- dance
- interpretation of text.
The course also involves excursions e.g. theatre performances locally and in London.

Physical Theatre - sample course
Morning sessions will focus on skills development and the afternoon sessions will focus on creative exploration of the work in practice. Each day will conclude with performances of works-in-progress.
