Cambridge Drama Summer School

Drama students from Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts

This course aims to introduce a range of different drama techniques in a fun, safe and active environment. The drama course also improves students' confidence, self esteem and communication skills.

  • Ideal for students keen to study drama or theatre studies.
  • Good for those who already have experience of acting at school or clubs.

Students can choose from different types of drama practice including: musical theatre, physical theatre and acting for the theatre. Core skills that will be explored include:

  • acting
  • voice and movement
  • improvisation
  • games
  • warm-up techniques
  • physical theatre
  • dance 
  • interpretation of text.

The course also involves excursions e.g. theatre performances locally and in London.

International students will need a good standard of English (Upper Intermediate and above).
