The campus you'll be studying and living on is based in Elephant and Castle, Central London, and is known as Southwark Campus. It’s a short walk from many of London’s famous landmarks.
There’s plenty on campus to keep you occupied – from the Students’ Union to the sports centre – not to mention the 100s of attractions London has to offer.
LSBU is currently investing £47 million into campus development to continue providing the best student facilities. The first stage of improvements will be completed this year, with more improvements on the way.
It’s simple to travel to LSBU:
A wide range of support and advice services
Relax after your studies at the friendly Students Union
The Students’ Union is an invaluable part of student life, providing you with the opportunity to enjoy social, sporting and cultural activities alongside your studies.
Enhance your skills at the Centre for Learning Support and Development
Studying at LSBU may be the first time you study at university level, and the first time you study in English, so the Centre for Learning Support and Development (CLSD) has a network of support to help you with your studies. The CLSD can give you advice on essay writing, learning and presentation techniques in one-to-one or drop-in classes or online.
Ensuring your wellbeing and offering advice
Student Advice and Careers Guidance (SA&CG) is made up of Student Advice Workers and Careers Advisers. The Student Advice Workers are able to help you with personal and emotional issues, financial and money management, wellbeing issues, exam anxiety and advice for international students.
Services include one to one sessions and workshops. The service offered is free and confidential. It’s not a counselling service but the Student Advice Workers are able to help any student find a counselling service if required.
Visit the SA&CG website (links opens in new window).
Multi-Faith Centre for all students
The Multi-Faith Centre offers confidential, non-judgmental pastoral care and support to all students irrespective of belief or creed. LSBU also has a number of student societies representing various religions and denominations including the Islamic Society and the Christian Union.
Earn money while you study - and find a job after
Most overseas students are able to work in the UK while they are studying at LSBU unless they have a work restriction on their visa.
LSBU provides a professional vacancy handling service called The Job Shop to help graduates and students find full-time, part-time, placement, temporary and vacation work.
All LSBU students are welcome to use The Job Shop service at any stage throughout their course and for up to two years after graduation.
The Job Shop has a wide range of services available, including:
