What is the Intensive English course?

This is our most popular course for adults, providing a rigorous and varied programme of intensive learning for all levels.

The morning programme is designed to develop the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. At the same time, we aim to increase your awareness of English grammar and to extend your vocabulary.

In the afternoons you can select different options according to your level and interests. Typical options may include:

Option 1 (60 minutes)
Business, IELTS, Cambridge Exams (FCE, PET), Study Skills, Grammar, Listening, Reading and Discussion

Option 2 (45-55 minutes)
British Culture, Current Affairs, Art & Design, Media Studies, Music & Song, Literature, IELTS

If you wish to study with us for an extended period of time, we recommend you follow our Academic Term or Academic Year programme.

Mornings: 3 hours, Monday-Friday
Afternoons: 7.5 hours per week, Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri
Wednesday afternoon: Activities
