CSVPA is acknowledged to be one of the best drama schools for Foundation Drama in the UK. Our association with RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) is testament to the quality and experience of our tutors, themselves professional practitioners.
Our Drama Summer School aims to introduce a range of different drama techniques in a fun, safe and active environment. The drama course also improves students' confidence, self esteem and communication skills.
Musical Theatre, Physical Theatre, Contemporary Theatre / Acting
Students can choose from different types of drama practice including: musical theatre, physical theatre and contemporary theatre / acting.
Core skills that will be explored include:
Visit London Shows and learn from professionals
Watching a London play or musical makes for a good night out - but it is also a useful part of the learning process. Students are given the opportunity to discuss the performances they see both in London and the local area, identifying key skills and techniques and putting them into practice in their own work.
The Summer School runs over a 6 week period, with the three specialisms being taught for 2 weeks each. The first week of each specialism focuses on building towards a performance, which takes place during the second week. Students can attend the first or both weeks, but cannot join the perofrmance week only.
You can choose the area of theatre that appeals to you most, or, if you are considering a career in drama, you can extend your range by trying a number of different disciplines.

International students will need a good standard of English (Upper Intermediate and above).
