



Our Pre-Foundation course is designed for international students who wish to develop their skills in Art & Design, but have not yet reached the appropriate level for entry on to the Foundation course. Typically these will be:
Every student who has taken the Pre-Foundation course has gone on to complete the Foundation course successfully, and has then been placed for degree study at the college or university of their choice.
The Pre-Foundation course is designed to be flexible in order to meet the differing needs of students. To achieve this the course is built around four basic modules which can be studied in various combinations. Contact us for more details.
Module 1 - EAP (English for Academic Purposes)
A specific component of this course deals with the specialised terms and use of English language in Art & Design.
Module 2 - Design
Graphics and illustration
Module 3 - Fine Art
Painting, sculpture and printmaking
Module 4 - Textiles/Craft
Module 5 - Drawing
Age: 17+
Artistic level: A good portfolio of work plus a good secondary / high school education
English Language level: IELTS 4.0 - 5.0
Course details
Course length: 1, 2 or 3 terms
Hours in class: 35+ hours per week
Entry dates: April (1-term course), January (2-term course), September (3-term course)
Tuition fees: £4,500 per term
