



This highly flexible course is designed for students who want to expand their experience in Art & Design or Media, and to build a portfolio of work.
It can be studied as a one-term course for those wishing to experiment with a range of Art & Design media; or it can form a springboard to a Foundation or Design course.
It is run in parallel with our Foundation course and is taught by the same specialist staff.
Who is the Portfolio for?
The first term of the course, which can be taken as a complete course in itself, will introduce you to all the disciplines of Art & Design, and two core subject areas: Visual Studies and Life Drawing.

During this term students select one discipline from the options above for intensive study, in order to build up a specialised portfolio for degree course entry.
The focus of this term is the development and extension of your chosen specialist discipline. This work makes a considerable impact on the quality of your portfolio. During this term you will also write an extended project and prepare for the end of year Assessment Exhibition and Fashion Show.
