First impressions of Cambridge
When I first came to Cambridge I was a bit disappointed. All the streets seemed to me too narrow, people too gloomy and the sky too grey. I was quite pessimistic about my staying in here and I thought I would never like this town…
But eventually I got into the life in Cambridge. I understood that people are not gloomy they are just serious and busy. But if you talk to them you’ll find out that they are all open, easy-going and smiling people.
My next discovery was that climate here is not as rainy as people used to tell me. There were only 3 or 4 rainy days out of a whole month! Not so much, is it?
Two weeks after my arrival I realized that the sky is absolutely fantastic! I loved all the colors and clouds… Every day the sky appeared in different variations but it was always beautiful and so magical. I have never seen anything like that before.
Now I understand that Cambridge is the best place for me to live and study in. First impressions are usually deceptive.
