Academic English: language preparation for University
The Academic English programme is designed for international students whose English language skills are not yet at a sufficient level for academic study in the UK.
Students study English language courses such as General English and English for Academic Purposes. We will ensure that you reach the right English level for one of our academic programmes as quickly as possible.
Subjects studied: English language courses and study skills
Course duration: 1-4 terms depending on student requirements. There is also a weekly option.
Assessment: Coursework, regular testing and IELTS
Who is this course for?
- Students whose English language skills do not meet requirements for our other courses.
- Students determined to succeed on the A-level or GCSE programme.

Students can study Academic English on a weekly basis for up to 7 weeks. Fees are £750 per week which includes accommodation and meals.
