This is an intensive 6-week course for highly motivated students who have been accepted onto the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma in the Autumn term. It is designed to help students make a smooth transition from high school to the IB.
Should you study this course?
We encourage most of our IB Diploma students to take this course.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma requires students to have a high level of proficiency in both English Language and Mathematics before they start the course.
The Pre-IB Bridge programme prepares students for the demands of the IB, particularly in these core subjects, but also to introduce the typical methods of study. Academic research and study skills are put into practice in a course project. Find out more about the timetable.
The Pre-IB Bridge enables students to start their Diploma course with confidence and with a clear understanding of what IB Diploma studies entail.
Students have to sit two examinations during the programme and receive a study preparation certificate on completion of the course alongside a full report summarising their achievements.
